Trip to Treasure Island Casino
Tuesday, twenty of us got together and headed to Treasure Island Casino for the afternoon. We played a little Bingo on the way up and enjoyed the beautiful scenery through downtown Hastings. Today we went down to Minneapolis to “Hell’s Kitchen” for lunch. Great food and service plus the atmosphere was fun to see. It was interesting to know that Donnie’s Uncle created a cookbook which was on display there, then later created the restaurant which is still in the family. Many residents came to visit the Minnesota State Capital this afternoon to see all the renovations. Fun to hear how some residents had family that fought during the Civil War and one even worked here when she was 17 years old. The history was so amazing to hear about.
