Summer Blast Kids Visit
Wednesday we welcomed Summer Blast from Incarnation Lutheran Church to Shoreview Senior Living. They boys helped the residents make some sunflowers which will be hung up in Garden Cove. A few of the boys challenged Florence, our Champion Scrabble player, to a game. Florence came out in the lead, but they sure did have fun. August came in with a blast as we celebrated National Night Out!! So Many turned out for this exciting event to bring our community together. DJ Steve came in to play his music, residents enjoyed hot dogs, lemonade and ice cream, and we even brought out the water balloons. So fun to see so many turn out for Silverwood Nature Center! They joined us this month and talked about the 10,000 lakes in Minnesota and its fishes. We learned Wisconsin says they have more lakes but they count pot holes as lakes (LOL), but MN does have more Acreage of water. Fun to hear about the residents fishing stories and outdoor adventures here in MN. They later made a journal for all …
