Summer BBQ
Today we had our first BBQ of the year! Residents were lined up for this event waiting to dine on some delicious food. One of our residents Tony slaved over the flames with Tim, our maintenance man, we think Tony was born to grill, thank you!! Family and friends joined us as well which made the day special for many. Today was a perfect day for a Pontoon trip on White Bear Lake. Residents enjoyed our Captain Sam and his wonderful crew who helped make this afternoon memorable for us all. We learned history of the lake and pointed out many interesting facts such as the different kinds of sail boats, saw many beautiful homes like Marjorie Mcneely’s who was the founder of the Conservatory, and took in some beautiful wildlife. Celebrated Memorial Day weekend in style. As we remember those who served, residents had a BBQ lunch, sang along and danced to music with Mary Hall, and soaked up some much needed vitamin D while trying out some poor mans golf and enjoying some ice cream. A wonderful way to celebrate a beautiful start to Summer!
