American Swedish Institute

We took a trip to the American Swedish Institute. The Turnblad Mansion was built in the 1800s by a Swedish immigrant. Christmas at the American Swedish Institute is a special time with different rooms decorated in various Scandinavian traditions. The architecture and craftsmanship of the building were phenomenal to see. The tour guide brought us to each room and educated us about how things were accomplished in that time period. Decorating for Christmas

Tuesday turned out to be such a busy day. We started getting ready for the holidays by putting up Christmas trees and adding beautiful decor. Anne learned how to make bows for all our Poinsettia plants. Later in the day, we celebrated our hard work with live music from the Maple Street Ramblers.
