100th Birthday Celebration and Art Gifts

July 31st, 2020

We had a special day at Shoreview Senior Living when we had our friend Pat’s 100th birthday celebration. Our staff cheered and used noisemakers as family and friends drove through our parking lot waving and honking their horns. Shoreview residents joined in the fun and celebration, many from their balconies or windows. Please join us in wishing a Pat a very happy birthday! ??

Sam has been busy making art to decorate our building and to give to others. He uses our art kits to inspire his creativity, including a “dotty art” project. Thank you, Sam!

We love it when we receive art from our young friends. Two siblings from Roseville sent us pictures, which they drew and painted themselves, to be distributed to all the amazing residents here at Shoreview Senior Living. We can’t thank them enough for the beautiful and thoughtful gifts!

Celebrating Easter in a very special way! We were thankful to have an Easter service right here at our Shoreview Senior Living Community. We sang hymns, heard the message, and shared in the liturgy.

Our Kindercare visitors were a breath of fresh air as they laughed with us, sang for us, and shared much excitement in their hunt for Easter eggs.  We love spending time with our young friends!

Special Visitors | March Activities

March 22nd, 2018

This week at Shoreview Senior Living, we had lovely special visitors who were ready to share their love of music with the residents.

Visit from Saint Odilia

On Tuesday morning, the 4th grade students from Saint Odilia came to spend some time with the residents. Some kids made Easter wreaths for their doors, while others just spent some quality time talking with the residents. It was so special and rewarding. One group even sang “Let It Snow” as it began snowing outside. Father Stiles was visiting the same day for confessions with the residents. Kids thought it was cool to run into him. They were a terrific bunch of students, and we look forward to seeing them next week.

Trudi’s Irish Blessings

Trudi came in on Wednesday afternoon to help us continue celebrating this month’s Irish blessings. Residents sang along with all their favorite tunes and laughed at a few limericks. She even brought Aria, her grandson, with to help run the show.

“School House Rock” Performance

On Wednesday evening, Jill came in with her cast. They performed “School House Rock” for the residents. These kids were filled with talent and did a spectacular job. We are so grateful for the opportunity to have Jill and her crew come and do a rehearsal show before their big night. Thank you Jill for bring us such an amazing show!!

Crime Prevention and Mexico Orphanage

October 3rd, 2017

Tuesday we had Deputy Mike Sirvatka join us to talk about crime prevention, fraud and keeping yourself safe. Many asked questions and I even learned a thing or two!! It was wonderful information and we are grateful for taking the time to stop by. We hope to see you for dominoes!!

Later that afternoon residents enjoyed some apple treats while Beth and Joy Eidsor joined us as we viewed the pictures they took in Mexico at the Orphanage. So delightful to see the projects residents made and the smiles on the children’s faces! It was defiantly heartwarming to know we made such a difference. They even taught us a song in Spanish! As Beth and Joy thanked us, Kathy, who helped me get all our donations together, made a great comment, “It never could of happened with out you traveling all that way and giving your time and hearts.” It was a great way to end the afternoon!
