Fun and Busy October

October 17th, 2019

We’ve been having a fun and busy October here at Shoreview Senior Living! We’re only halfway through, but we’ve had musical guests, fun field trips, and an Oktoberfest celebration. Check it out!

Rockin’ Tony’s music brings out the smiles and memories. We love his visit each month!

Here’s a video clip from Rockin’ Tony’s performance:

The Centennial Stompers had us stomping our feet and clapping our hands with their uplifting Dixieland music! 🎸🎹🎺

Video of the Centennial Stompers show:

Tony Garry’s smile and his popular music from the ’60s and ’70s really gets us singin’ along!

Our “Craft Fair” was a great way to spend a Saturday! Vendor registration fees were donated to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Apple, apple, who’s got the apple? Definitely the Pine Tree Apple Orchard! 🍎🍏

Just when we think we’ve learned everything we can about James J. Hill and his family, we’re treated to more interesting facts in this beautiful, historic mansion on Summit Avenue!

Here’s a clip of the group singing together during our latest visit at the James J. Hill House:

We celebrated Oktoberfest here at Shoreview Senior Living with delicious food and enjoying time with our friends and family! What a fun way to experience Bavarian culture and welcome autumn!

Save The Date: 2019 Walk to End Alzheimer’s

September 20th, 2019

On September 28, Shoreview Senior Living and the Southview Senior Communities team will be joining the Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-North Dakota for the 2019 Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Target Field. There are 5.8 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s today, and that number is projected to rise to nearly 14 million by 2050. We’d love your help as we work to raise awareness, reduce risk, and eliminate Alzheimer’s through research and care. Learn more about donating and/or registering to walk. Together, we can fight to end Alzheimer’s!

Here are some photos from last year’s walk.

Slice of Shoreview Parade!

July 25th, 2017

Saturday 22nd, residents put on their tie-dye shirts and headed down to the Slice of Shoreview Parade. Rockin Tony helped us make a grand entrance with his music which we all danced to. You are amazing Tony!! It was so fun to be a part of this community event where we saw so many of our neighbors. Want to thank Tim for his dedication in driving the trailer and his hard work helping get this together, and Jason and Tom from DARTS Transportation… couldn’t of done it with out you. You are all so loved!! Residents were so glad to see Ed and Linda and their granddaughter Ana who came to help celebrate with us. Shoreview Senior Living even won the Judge’s Choice award!! It was great to have you all there!

Look for us on CTV15 North Suburbs for live replay coverage at 40:30 to view Shoreview Senior Living!

Memorial Service

September 30th, 2016

Memorial for all those we have lost. Deacon Tim from St. Odilia performed a memorable ceremony while Trudi blessed us with some beautiful hymns. We lit candles for each person we have lost.

“Sadly missed along life’s way, quietly remembered every day…

No longer in our life to share, but in our hearts, you’re always there.”
