Read MoreSilverwood Nature Center visited us again this month to talk about wild flowers and crate a beautiful watercolor wall hanging. Residents learned about the various plants native to Minnesota. We are even thinking of trying some dandelion greens some time! It was wonderful to see residents be so creative. A great afternoon!!
Read MoreToday we went on a trip to the Arboretum. We took in all the beauty spring has to offer on the 3-mile drive. Of course half way through someone had to “go” so residents used the outhouse…what memories this brought up!! After the drive we went inside and had some wonderful sandwiches with all the fixings in the Tea Room surrounded by natures beauty once again. Residents then went through the Conservatory and saw various types of plants and orchids and checked out the gift shop as well. This place is stunning!! Defiantly a great was to kick off spring.
On the way home we were able to see Prince’s Paisley Park. The fence was still covered with memorials and was interesting to see. We got back just in time to relax with a bit of Happy Hour or some decided to get a nap in before dinner. What a fun day!!

We had quite a few diehards who hung out outside, while others stayed in and enjoyed their treats while listening to music with Andy. Gonna miss him for the summer, but look forward to seeing him again in the fall… We love you Andy! . Kinsey our RN brought one of her 4 legged kids to visit with the residents. Ricky gave love to everyone, and even took a trip to Garden Cove for some special visits. Everyone loved to see Ricky and thought he was cute in his diaper. The best was one resident offered some of his depends for the goat to wear. LOL

Dan and Judy really know how to keep a party going with their music. Students from Mounds view High School stopped by to share in this special day with us, can’t thank them enough for taking the time to make a difference! They were beautiful and brought back so many memories for many, though the dress was quite different back in their day. We crowned Richard and Laurie as our New King and Queen of Shoreview Senior Living. Such a cute pair, as they both have a heart of gold! Fun to see Bernice and Jim continuing the dance even after the music stopped. She even wore a blue dress she made 40 years ago. When I look into their eyes I can see the beauA shout out to Paula, Joann, Calli, Lexi and Jen for all their help in making this day so amazing and memorable. “The best gifts are not the material objects one can buy from the store, but in the memories we make with the people we love.”
