Bloody Mary Happy Hour

Friday we had a “Bloody Mary Happy Hour” with all the fixings. Residents loved these cocktails as they enjoyed music and singing along with Steve Rosa. Great way to start the weekend!

Balloon Ball

Residents in Garden Cove started by playing some balloon ball till they learned about static cling!!!

Today got a bit “DICEY.” Started with a great game of Farkle in Garden Cove. Then played a new game of Tenzi in the Community Room where we even heard residents renditions of barnyard animals!! Lavonne even had her magnifying glass out!!

Cedar Frame Crafts

During crafts today residents painted a wooden cedar picture frame. It was so fun to see the different ideas everyone had and the various color choices. Some did flowers while others were more abstract. We definitely have talent here in Shoreview!!

Wine and Cheese with Serene Oaks Dental

Wine and Cheese event with Serene Oaks Dental. They talked to residents about oral health, and nice to see residents involved and asking questions. Learned that cheese is good for your teeth, but the wine not so much! Sure tasted good though.Had a raffle and Dar won the grand prize of a new Oral B powered toothbrush.

Valentine Tea Party!

Wonderful day for a Valentine Tea with friends. WOW what a turnout! Everyone wanted to take part in this fun afternoon with treats and music with Jill and Kathy. We defiantly felt the love in the room. Leo even spread his love to everyone and showed us his “circle and spin” dance. After wards as you can see he was all tuckered out from a long day.

Drumming with Cheri

Today we had “Drumming with Cheri”. Started with some stretching then experienced our own rhythm. There were various drums to try as well as many other items we incorporated to bring on a relaxing beat. Cheri even took our her belling dancing scarves and motion flags. A few even felt the rhythm and decided to get up and dance. Ok not belly dancing…but we tried!! It was a unique way to spend the afternoon!

Girlfriends Secrets!

After Lifetree Café the ladies sat around and played a little game of secrets with girlfriends. Opal had the one question of the hour which started all the giggles and fun conversation. “Have you ever been to a nude beach? and if not, would you ever??”

The Men’s Club enjoys Bowling, Golf, and Singing

Men’s Group tried their luck at bowling and golf. Leo even tried to help them. Cute to watch him stare at the golf ball so intently with out touching it! He was such a good boy. Then we chatted and were even serenaded by the two Richards with the song “Open the Door Richard”. Good way to spend a Monday morning!
