Memorial for all those we have lost. Deacon Tim from St. Odilia performed a memorable ceremony while Trudi blessed us with some beautiful hymns. We lit candles for each person we have lost.

Sanding, Building and Painting in Garden Cove! A productive and busy afternoon making log cabins out of craft sticks.
Getting creative with art and painting this fall at Shoreview… we used a salad spinner to create spin paint art! The residents loved this activity!
Saturday, September 17th was the 2016 Walk to End Alzheimer’s at the Target Field. Another one for the books!
During our fall 2016 Apple Festival, Shoreview residents were treated to many treats from Aamotts Apple Farm. Residents tasted 10 different apple varieties as we did trivia about apples. We learned that thanks to the high levels of boron in apples, they can help improve your memory, mental alertness and electrical activity of the brain! Woohoo, bring on the apples!!
We even had an apple biting contest, where our resident director Luke, resident Maria and a family member showed us their skills. Was definitely the cause for many laughs!

Tony was back at Shoreview Senior Living for another wonderful sing-along! Residents sang and danced their way through the afternoon.
Below, Bob got out on the dance floor and showed us his dance moves! For someone so quiet, everyone loved to see him in his element! He was all smiles. 🙂
You will never look at junk the same!
Residents used their creativity while exploring and rummaging through “junk”. Their recycled creations were amazing and all told a story… okay, except for one! Bur had no idea what he created!! 🙂
We were amazed at what the residents were able to create using items that were otherwise thought of as random pieces of junk. It was truly a fun and memorable project.
All the projects were out on display for a few days, and they got a lot of attention!
We had a silly and eventful trip to Cub Foods… we found a fun baby “mask” to play with! Even our bus driver joined in on the fun. We turned many heads in the parking lot!!
